About Us

KarmaQuest Ecotourism and Adventure Travel offers customized travel planning services for adventure, eco-, educational, and cultural trips throughout the Himalaya and much of Asia. KarmaQuest’s award winning trips draw upon the in-depth knowledge and relationships its owners and directors Half Moon Bay residents Wendy Brewer Lama and Karma D. Lama have with the ecotourism industry and conservation partners in Asia, where they have lived and worked over the past 30 years.

Trips are unique, interactive, and allow you to feel good about your travel impacts. You’ll learn from local experts about indigenous cultures and the natural environment, and how your visit contributes to sustainable livelihoods and wildlife conservation. Educational and service learning trips guide students in hands-on learning. Please choose from one of our online trips, or contact us for a personalized itinerary to meet your specific interests, schedule and abilities.

Our trips span more than a dozen countries and regions of Asia: Bhutan, Burma/Myanmar, Cambodia, China/Tibet, India (including Sikkim and Ladakh), Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

KarmaQuest has supported the Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce’s Ecotourism Program from its inception. Come with us to see how ecotourism helps other communities of the world protect what they cherish.
