The Boys and Girls Club of the Coastside is pleased to introduce our new Executive Director, Jill Jacobson.  Jill, an educator and experienced fundraiser, brings to the organization a background in non-profit and small business management.

Jill has lived on the Coast with her husband Greg for over 25 years; they have twin boys, Christopher and Steven, who are alumni of the local Half Moon Bay public schools. She earned
a Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction in Political Science and History at University of Michigan. She has volunteered extensively during her time here including serving on the Board of Directors for Senior Coastsiders and Half Moon Bay High School Foundation, and as the President and Treasurer of the Hatch PTO. Her most recent work experience comes as fund development associate at Charles Armstrong School and San Mateo Public Library Foundation.

Board President Virginia Perry enthused, “We think Jill is an excellent fit for our organization and are very excited by her deep connections in our community.  We are eager to move forward under her leadership.”

Jacobson offered, “I was really attracted to the mission of the Boys and Girls Club:  I am very excited to lead an organization that impacts so many young people in our community.  At this point in my career it means a lot to me to be able to contribute to the community where I live.”

The Boys and Girls Club of the Coastside, celebrating its 25th anniversary, hosts a school-based program at Cunha Intermediate School, a teen program for high school aged youth at the Ted Adcock Center, and three sports leagues at its gym and soccer fields located at Cuhna.  The Club offers dynamic programs including academic support, leadership development, arts, technology, sports and recreation for members ages 6 - 18. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of young people by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, and belonging in a safe environment.

Jacobson begins her new role on June 17, 2019.
